The Mercurius Window System (MWS) defines how a client inhabits a remote workstation. It is designed to be:
- simple to implement
- efficient over modern networks
- robust against latency
- transport‑agnostic
- secure against DDoS and APT threats

Source Code
The reference implementation of the Mercurius Window System is stored in git. This repository tracks the evolution of the protocol and contains the working implementation used to validate the RFC.
